I'm getting a glitch with the skill check tag next to character name in the Setup for [shiptype] window. When I hover the mouse on that little red tag it shows the skill requirement for a tiny fraction of a second in a tooltip and then blanks it out. The pale orange text box remains for as long as the mouse remains over the red tag. By moving the mouse away and back again I get another fraction of a second of text and then blank box again. By fraction of a second I mean just long enough for my eyes to register that there is text there but not long enough to read it. It is probably only a couple of milliseconds at most. I'm running Win7/64. Any thoughts? |

I have an issue under Win7-64, Phenom II 955, HD6870 1GB. I get the tooltips to work on every hover except the red skill requirements next to the character name. For that one only the tooltip box appears, large enough to contain a long list of needed skills but there is no text in that box. In version 2.18.1 the text in the box appeared for a fraction of a second, long enoug to register the existence of text, and then blanked out leaving just the box. In 2.19.1 not even the blink of an eye text appears.
There is nowhere to edit the run string in the properties box of the file itself, so I made a shortcut on the desktop. I tried to edit the shortcut on the desktop but windows will not accept the edit for [/oldhints], saying 'the name.."....\EFT2.19.1\EFT.eft /oldhints" in the Target box does not exist.' If I 'pin to - ' taskbar or startmenu the only options on right-click are run or unpin. Can the /oldhints be put in the config.ini file and if so what is the exact syntax?

That said, I had problems with EFT pop ups for a while now. They sometimes do not show at all. They are fine when they do show though, so no empty pop up. The problem appears intermittent and random. This is on Win8 btw, but started back on Win7. I have a hunch this may be related to multiscreen setups, dragging the window to another screen and back a couple of times seems to mend it fairly often. Yes just a typo, I did use EFT.exe, all I did was append the ' /oldhints to the end of the address in the Target box (making sure to get it inside the quotes) |

Zeru Try "...\EFT2.19.1\eft.exe" /oldhints The quotationmarks should do the difference. I already tried that one, as well as omitting the space before the '/' for both inside and outside the quote marks. I'm still getting the same message from windows. I don't know whether batch file calls are supported under Win7. I may try that and see if it makes a difference, but it feels a bit cludgy.
